My name is Ted McKnight, and I am a professional teacher of Scottish snare drumming. I am the Chief Percussion Instructor for the Portland Metro Youth Pipe Band, based out of Portland, Oregon - one of the foremost youth bands in the United States. I created this site in order to bring a structured approach to learning one of the most technically challenging forms of percussion - the Scottish snare drum.
